The Southern Sri Lanka shone brightly as the prestigious ๐Œ๐ซ๐ฌ ๐ˆ๐ง๐๐ข๐š ๐๐ฎ๐ž๐ž๐ง Semi Final Pageant Talent Round, organized by Indian SR Queen Media Pvt Ltd, was successfully held on May 15th at the iconic Taj Bentota Resort & Spa. Attending the event as a special guest, Ruhunu Tourist Bureau Chairman Mr. P.G.G.S. Jayan expressed his deep appreciation to the organizers for selecting the southern coast as the destination for such a high-profile international event, noting its significant impact on boosting regional tourism.

The glamour filled evening was well-attended by distinguished dignitaries, including COPE Committee Chairman and Member of Parliament Dr. Nishantha Samarasinghe, the Chairmen of Ambalangoda, Balapitiya, and Bentota, alongside a vibrant gathering of artists, singers, celebrities, contestants, and media personnel.

Capitalizing on this momentum to position the region as a premier hub for international gatherings, Chairman Mr. Jayan announced that the Ruhunu Tourist Bureau will collaborate with the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB) this June to host a specialized MICE Tourism Workshop. Specifically tailored for southern province hoteliers, this upcoming initiative aims to enhance local capacity, refine corporate hosting standards, and instill global organizers with the utmost confidence to select Southern Sri Lanka for world-class events, conferences, and pageants in the future.
