The Ruhunu Tourism Bureau's targeted revenue to be remitted to the Provincial Treasury for the year 2026 was Rs. 9,500,000.00. Through precise financial discipline and a streamlined accounting process, our Bureau has been able to surpass this target ahead of schedule, contributing an income of Rs. 9,717,947.00 to the Provincial Treasury as of March 31, 2026.
As a self-financing institution, we operate by designing and implementing revenue-enhancing programs alongside cost-minimization strategies. Simultaneously, numerous projects have already been launched for the advancement of the tourism sector in the Southern Province. As the Ruhunu Tourism Bureau, serving the Southern Province—which boasts the highest tourist arrivals in Sri Lanka—we will continue to intervene and contribute to our maximum potential in the future.
