Bope Poddala Ruhunu Udana Bakmaha Ulela Successfully Concluded
The Bope Poddala Ruhunu Udana Bakmaha Ulela (New Year Festival) was successfully held on April 19th at the Serene River Park in Holuwagoda. Jointly organized by the Ruhunu Tourism Bureau and the Bope Poddala Pradeshiya Sabha, the event featured a vibrant lineup of cultural performances and traditional folk games, drawing a massive crowd of local residents.
Key Highlights & Contributions
The festival, which saw active participation from the local community and many others, achieved its grand success through the dedication of the Bope Poddala Pradeshiya Sabha Chairperson, Mrs. Lalani Jayamini, its members, and the entire staff. Additionally, continuous support was provided throughout the day by the Chairman of the Ruhunu Tourism Bureau, Mr. P.G.G.S. Jayan, along with its Board of Directors and officials.
A Celebration of Unity: Children, youth, and adults enthusiastically participated in all the competitions. It was heartwarming to see people from diverse races and religions come together to celebrate and make this event a resounding success.
